WinHME v1.5 Beta Release 3 Posted by Sin-Tex at 11:23 AM
News Source XBINS
Author jimmsta.
Changes
* Some code changes... (opening and saving is less(/no longer) buggy) * GUI cleaned up a bit (for smaller resoultions) * Slightly more compressed exe, and other installation files... (UPX = GOOD) * Two ways to set the file name now... Just be sure to Only select ONE method!!! - (NOTE: Although the app says "external", this does not mean that the code has been implemented for a temp map to be copied over yet. The reason is because I haven't gotten around to adding a checkbox for xbox/pc version selection).

xSnes9x v1.05 beta Posted by Sin-Tex at 11:14 AM
News Source: xSnes9x
Lantus has mentioned that last week a private beta was handed out to testers. Read More below.
xSnes9x update! you will be pleased to hear that last week ive sent out beta's to my testers who are currently in the process of testing/breaking/reporting any issues they find.
we are not far off a release folks!
Some folks have been asking me weather the new S-DD1 "on the fly decompression" will be in this build. The answer is no . The Snes9x team do not wish for this to be released until more testing is done, most likely in their 1.42 release and i must respect their wishes.
However, the new xSnes9x will definetly be the last release that requires graphics packs.
Baku Baku-X v1.3 Posted by Sin-Tex at 11:08 AM
News Source: XBINS Author SHiZNO Official Site XFactorDev.NET
The only known problem with this gane i know of ATM is that the eating is still not perfect, but if you learn what 'trips' the eat engine, you will get around it and itll be fine for the moment... someone should go over my source and write a new eat function (because i suck)...
The reason im not adding every single thing into this game is due to the fact i cant plan for shit, so this will be a 'guide' for my next Baku Baku (2), which will hopefully play -perfect- and include all the features i wanted for this version... (like more customisation).
History: (Build 1.2: 10/19/03) - Added Analog support for menus - Slowed down menu speed a FRACTION (Build 1.1: 10/17/03) - Fixed animal chewing (because i sped up animal move speed, it set this off and ruined it...now it works nicely. - attempted to fix no-soundtrack crash...should work now? - changed a few graphics 'get ready' and a fee info boxes... - sped up menu move speed...maybe a little too fast !?

Stepmania-X v2 Posted by Sin-Tex at 10:42 AM
News Source: Xport Emulation
Firstly, I'd like to thank the developers of Stepmania for making this program. It is truly one of my favorite things to play. They deserve all the credit for this, especially since the most recent CVS source code has preliminary support for XBox already. I just took it the "last half-mile" or so. So, here's what many of you have been waiting for :
What's New:
- StepMania 3.9 alpha 6 sources (Alpha 7 came out just as I was finishing this up.... but I just wanted to get this one out since it was practically done already. I'll get around to upgrading to alpha 7 soon.)
- Health Meter Bar bug fixed
- Sync'ing bugs fixed
- MP3 bugs fixed
- Default Joypad configuration maps to DPAD as well as A/B/X/Y
- Keyboard support
- OGG support
- You can remap the Joypad configuration if you have a USB keyboard. If you do not have a USB keyboard, do *not* select the option to remap input controls. If you do, you will not be able to do anything (since only the keyboard is read on that screen) and you will be forced to reboot.

X-ecuter 3 Update +More Posted by Sin-Tex at 19:40 PM
News Source: Xbox Scene Forums Where The Hell Is Our New Bios & the X3 ?,
Posted by Ubergeek I'm sure you are wondering why we havent released a new bios for v1.4 yet and why dont we talk about X3 or the new xbox case designs we revealed a while ago
well here's a bit of news to wet the appetite.
First of all we had the choice of releasing a new bios for 1.4 or wait a while for the new X3 bios which has X3 hardware dependant features
well, evox kinda made the decision for us so you simply use M7 for now - next bios from us will be X3 (as most of you now know Xecuter bios's are designed entirley differently to Evox bios which is based on implementing hacks to an official M$ bios - therefore making the "standard" hacks much easier and faster to implement)
X3 hardware is pretty much done - we're just packing as many features into it as physically possible. As soon as the new embedded XBE is done (no its not ftp ) then we will make an announcement of the new hardware as well as the new bios (which will of course be 1.4 / 1.5 compatible) plus the new XBE and PC apps that will be incorporated with it. We havent done this before now as its a bitch to announce a new mod then you wait 6 months to see it. X3 will be announced / released within a 2 week period.
Also expect X3 intergration and support from the main homebrew app guys (especially avalaunch, mxm, xbmp, xbmc and offerings from team assembly and others) We will be discussing various issues with this community in the very very near future.
USB Speed is a also priority on X3 and has been completely tested on all OS and all versions of xbox. We will make sure it has an optimal USB chipset (not decided on USB 1.1 or 2.0 yet - its a matter of cost vs function)
on a final note - we're concentrating all efforts now on finishing X3. Most of the time has been on spent on design ideas / implementation. We've been listening to what all of you wanted and what other mod makers have offered. We feel X3 will be the ultimate mod for your xbox giving you all the features you desire both functionally and "coolness".
We won't be showing any feature lists until its all done and finished. However we will offer the chance for you to offer suggestions and ideas for the FINAL version which will be the one that will hit the stores before Christmas.
re: the xbox case. As soon as X3 is finished we will be investing in getting that finished too. A website will be hosted and we will be listening to all your ideas and suggestions which will ulimatley be a design that YOU asked for.
in the meantime enjoy what's available to you right now.
X-ecuter 2.2 & 2.1 chips can be purchased at Xbox-Chipz
